After 9 years of U.S. Naval service, I pursued a BFA in Studio Art and BA in Secondary Education at the College of Charleston. A year from graduation, my naivete and self doubt took refuge in an IT job.
25 years later, a Parisian pickpocket and new technology reignited my passion for making Art. I immersed myself in the study and practice of photography with the perspective of a painter. It is a study that never ends. Or as Pianist Marcus Roberts so elegantly said "It's all about the search."
In 2010, I discovered the Cary Ballet Conservatory. Their generosity allowed me to learn about Dance as Art. It is theater, motion, grace, energy and incredible athleticism and I am completely smitten by it. Dance has provided the soul for my Portraiture.
